With the success of the books and tv show, I made these dolls in tribute to this fascinating and original story. These women represent oppressed characters who are brave, persistent and resist their oppressors, in search of freedom and justice. I have also made a redhead with eyepatch representing Janine, a fan favorite character. for more pictures please visit my Facebook page or instagram, with the name YunCreations. :) Thanks! These have sold, but You can message me to order a commission , if you're interested! :)
Hi friends and followers, I recently created two dolls based on horror movies characters. I am not a big fan of watching horror movies, but I know these, and other characters are important and inspirational in pop culture. Also, very fun to transform dolls into them!!
I used a "Justin Bieber" Doll to make him into Pennywise, from the 2017 movie IT. For the forehead I used some “soft foamy” material I got during my trip to Mexico. It’s been very useful! And then I used lots of paint, and handmade the clothes. For Annabelle, the creepy doll from the horror movies, I used an Anna (from Frozen) doll. Then I painted the face and made the clothes. I made her shoes with the same foamy paste material. I love it! The Pennywise clown has been sold, but Annabelle still is available. Thanks. These two dolls went to the same client, for her granddaughter who is a big Katy Perry fan. These two costumes have been worn by Katy during her concerts. I personally admire her creative and original looks, which are fun and whimsical. She is truly a big inspiration, to me as an artist, and to young girls. Used mainly acrylic paints for these creations. I love that they are full of color!! thanks for your likes and comments, will post again soon!
These two were special requests, by an amazing buyer! I made the Faun, and later also the Pale man for her. Up to that date I considered the Faun as my masterpiece. I had to learn and use new fascinating techniques and materials, like molding plastic. This was truly a challenge but the result was amazing. Also for the pale man, the doll went through an amazing transformation. Please see photos below (included, the before and after of the pale man, was originally a fairy barbie), and leave any comments! These two were time-consuming, but really worth it! Thanks Trisha for your trust and support!
Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. This doll has been very special! it was a request by an actual former PanAm And Delta stewardess. My dear friend Patti G, who worked as flight attendant for 30 years!
I took inspiration from historic real pictures from those times, and pictures I borrowed from her. I particularly love the uniform they wore , in those times being a stewardess was a very glamorous career for women. Another very happy customer!! thanks for following. Requests being accepted now! It's been a while since the last time I published here. I've been more active on my facebook page and instagram. Here I present Leela and Amy of the TV show Futurama, and Marge Simpson. These ladies are well-known and beloved characters of iconic classic tv shows.
They were real challenges for me! I repainted them, made the clothes and accessories, and for Leela the face reconstruction with the cyclops eye was very interesting ans exciting. Please leave any comments with questions, request, anything! ans don't forget to like too! thank you so much for watching. I made these dolls a few months ago, but didn't have a chance to write about them until now.
When I went to the see Th e Hunger games exhibition in San Francisco, l got really inspired! I know there are already Mattel dolls out there, but I wanted to do my own version, in Tribute for the story (no pun intended :P). This is Katniss in her Mockingjay dress, after the wedding dress is consumed by flames, and she has her wings too. All handmade by sewing and painting. The doll was originally a Belle from beauty and the beast, I repainted her face and styled the hair as the character, in that particular moment. The other doll is Effie in her Butterfly dress, this one is made out of paper, I found it fun to work on this material. it is not removable. I modified a pair of barbie boots to create Effie's particular boots. I restyled the hair and repainted her face. it was originally a Model muse doll. Love these new dolls! They are meant for display and collectors, more stylish and sophisticated. Both dolls on sale in ebay, here at the blog and thru paypal. Michelle and Barack Obama have been purchased on ebay and these are the pictures of the finished product, with custom handmade box.
I also altered Michelle's shoes, since she was already wearing ballerina shoes (included on her feet), I painted them and added heels to make them look like high heel shoes. Their clothes are removable. I always include doll stands with the dolls. I am back to this site, after a long absence of 4 months. So much to catch up on! I will be posting about the most recent creations and I will appreciate you likes, comments, and shares.
